Sanah Kadoura and Electric Poison

Sanah grew up being exposed to many different types of music, which influenced her playing styles and compositional tastes greatly. Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Funk, Cuban and Brazilian styles, to name a few. Sanah has received a Diploma, Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Jazz performance. After her extensive study with world renowned educator, John Riley, she settled and immersed herself in the New York jazz scene. Sanah has performed with masters of the music as well as young up and comers. Sanah has shared the stage with the legendary Kirk Lighstey,(Dexter Gordon, Sonny Stit, Chet Baker), Philip Harper (Art Blakey), Ed Cherry (Dizzy Gillespie) Mark Whitfield (Herbie Hancock), Stacy Dillard, Tivon Pennicott, Sullivan Fortner, among many others. Ms.Kadoura will be featured on an upcoming album named ‘Mission Cymbalom’ by European Artist Marius Preda. Sanah shared the drum chair with well-known and highly acclaimed drummer Dennis Chambers(Parliament, Santana). Mike Stern, Arturo Sandoval, Tom Kennedy and Teymur Phell are also featured on this work, which was recorded in Cologne, Germany. The September issue of B.I.G. New York Magazine will have a 12 page feature focused on 5 New York Artist, Sanah was selected to be a part of this project by Vogue Photographer Warwick Saint and Creative Director Mark Fina of Cover Girl.
