Tyler Reese is a guitar virtuoso and an innovator of contemporary instrumental music, jazz fusion, & music based in jazz but with aspects of rock, funk, rhythm & blues, fusion & orchestral. Started on music theory at age 3 (by his grandmother, a Doctorate in Music Ed), Reese began his professional performance career at age 15. Reese was educated at the Berklee College of Music, studied under jazz greats such as Pat Metheny, and by age 21, had already played with artists such as Prince, Craig Morgan, and the Isley Brothers. Reese’s fourth and most recent CD, Reminiscence, reached #5 on Billboard for Contemporary Jazz Album, #12 for Best Jazz Album, and the top 50 on the JazzWeek Jazz Charts. Reminiscence was nominated by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Best in Jazz (Moving On) and Best Production (2Funk). Reese has been featured in numerous publications such as Vintage Guitar, Downbeat, Jazziz and JazzEd, is endorsed by PRS Guitars, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy.
