Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Alma started singing at 16 with the national Big Band, won a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1995 and became a New Yorker in 2000. She has released three critically acclaimed solo albums since then, and her fourth is scheduled to be released in 2016. Winner of Cleo Laine Award, BRIO Arts Council Award, BMG Jazz Club Award.
