A Fantastic cocktail of Jazz, latin and hygge! @ Club Bonafide on
Feb.16th at 7:15 pm

-Anders T. Andersen
Plays soprano, tenor- and bass saxophones and flute. He has a lot of
experience playing all over the world with both small- and larger
groups. His playing has its roots in the dark soil of modern jazz,
mixed with the impressions of salsa, tango, samba etc. and joined in a
cocktail that also reveals his European inheritance!
He’s the co-founder of the Toneart organization; A group of composers
who writes new music and arranges concerts. Having a large experience
working with small groups, (”United Notions Saxophonequartet”, “Anders
T Andersen Quartet”, “Plain”) larger groups (“Anders T Andersen Sextet
ijazzjazz!” “Anders T Andersen Octet”, “SkyFly Octet”.
His experience comes from: Music Conservatorium of Copenhagen, plus 2
years studies with Bob Brookmeyer in composition/arranging. As
musician, he also played a lot of latin music, for 15 years with late
Brazilian guitarist Celso Mendes, drummer Afonso Correa and many
others. Doing a lot of projects outside of Denmark; Norway, Sweden,
France, Germany, Brazil Vietnam and Bolivia.

-Horacio Martinez is a musician, composer, guitar player, producer and
arranger originally from Jujuy, Argentina. He received a Music Degree
in Guitar Performance at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza,
Argentina.

-Moto Fukushima Born in Kobe, Japan; based in NYC. six string bass
player, composer, mountain dulcimer and syamisen player. A lifelong
musician, Fukushima was named outstanding performer before graduating
Sum Cum laude from Berklee College of Music. His study of Western
Classical music, Japanese traditional music, and the African inspired
musical sensibilities of South America is heard in his jazz
improvisation, his playing is an amazing combination of finesse,
subtlety, and power. As a member of House of Waters, His music was
placed on Sports Emmy Award Winning piece ESPN “E60”.

In 2014 He won 3rd place on International Songwriting Competition.
ASCAP Plus Award Winner. Fukushima has redefined the role of the bass
performing with great artists such as House of Waters, Mike Stern,
Leni Stern, Karsh Kale, Dave Weckl, Joe Lovano, Donny McCaslin, Ari
Hoenig, Cliff Amond, Marta Gomez, Emilio Teubal, Dave Eggar, Oscar
Peñas, Richie Barshay, Vladimir Cetkar, Hiromi, Big Apple Circus, Alex
Skolnick and Gil Goldstein.

-Franco Pinna, drummer player started his musical career in 1988 in
Tucuman, Argentina where he performed and recorded with some of the
most distinguished musicians of the country. At Berklee College of
Music, he obtained the “Outstanding Musicianship” scholarship and
graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 under the Professional Music Diploma
program.

-Renato Diz, is a Portuguese pianist, composer, arranger, improviser,
producer and educator based in New York City. Born in Porto, Portugal.
A chance encounter with jazz at the age of 16 a performance by
renowned Portuguese jazz pianist and composer Carlos Azevedo. His main
instructors were Michael Lauren and Abe Rábade in jazz, and Sofia
Lourenço in the classical department. He also took private lessons
with Mário Laginha.

Renato pursue a double master’s degree in jazz and classical
performance at New York University. During this time he was awarded a
NYU Scholarship for Outstanding Performance, Ella Fitzgerald
Scholarship and Leake & Watts Citizenship Award. In 2015 his project
“I will play your soul” was selected between 26,000 applications to be
featured at IDEAS Festival at New Museum.
