Carolina Gonzalez Mama is a singer/composer from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She began studying music primary school, becoming part of the choir of Susana Beatriz Aguirre. She sang among artist like Juan Carlos Baglietto, Lito Vitale, Julia Zenko.
In 2013 she records her first album with her nonet, Proyecto Nacarola. With this album they perform in most prestigious venues of Jazz in Argentina, Thelonious Club, Bebop, Centro Cultural Konex, among others.
In 2014 she travels to New York to study she got selected to be part of the The New School of Contemporary Music and Jazz.
In 2015 year she starts a new quintet and she performs in the famous Centro Cultural San Martin.
In 2016 she selected to perform in the International Jazz Festival of Argentina.
Since 2016 she’s been working and being of different project. This show will in a duet with Tomas Latorre, where they will investigate roots from Argentinian music.
Tomás Latorre is a bassist/guitarist/composer originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His music fuses Southamerican folklore with through composed arrangements together with jazz improvisation. “Vidala Espera” is his debut album, deeply rooted in the Argentine folklore, a journey of intimate songs with expansive instrumental pieces.
