Sophisticated Jazz performed by an outstanding international group of New York’s finest musicians, mixing jazz, classical, pop, and turning it into an exceptional sound of its own; combining American Jazz Tradition with European Sensibility. Think Pat Metheny & Keith Jarrett meets Film music, Bela Bartok and World music.

The musicians are amazing: Zach Brock plays with Snarky Puppy and Phil Markowitz, Sebastian Noelle plays with the Chris Potter Big Band and Secret Society, Adam Armstrong played with Kenny Kirkland and Kenny Wheeler and Christian Finger with Lee Konitz and Ron Carter.

This Band coaxes the imagination and takes the listener on a journey that mesmerizes, transcends, and entertains at the same time. Through the exciting and diverse compositions of Christian Finger, and the effortless capacity of an elite ensemble of master musicians, concerts explore American jazz tradition and mixes it with European sensitivity. These colorful and eclectic tunes, enhancing the intuitive and interactive playfulness of the band, show the effortless mastery of this ensemble and audiences worldwide are drawn in and enthusiastic about this live event.

Christian Finger’s music has been described as “fast-paced and exciting, hauntingly beautiful and evocative, spontaneous and playful – all within a melodious framework unique and accessible”.(All About Jazz).

Appearing at Top jazz venues/festivals in NYC and abroad, concerts by the Christian Finger Band are highly popular. Christian’s music has also been used for different off-Broadway theater and for Europe’s biggest Magazine “Der Spiegel”.

Down Beat” writes: “Ananda is brimming with idealism and fearless venture… this ambitious undertaking successfully aspires to exude an abstract, sprawling vibe of global connectivity… Ananda is plentiful with such moments: cinematic tableaus that somehow gracefully merge….on-the-sleeve honesty and that’s key.”
