Harry Smith is a musician in the New York City Jazz scene. While practicing classical and rudimental percussion throughout his time at the Scotch Plains Fanwood Music Department he would listen to some of his heroes like Roy Haynes, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and Tony Williams. When he was 15, Harry began playing gigs in the New Jersey / New York area. As a musician, Harry has developed a sound that takes influence from top players such as Tony Williams, Philly Joe Jones, and Bill Stewart. He has studied privately with musicians including Amir Ziv, Steve Johns. Harry is currently attending The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music to earn his degree in Jazz Drum Set Performance
