INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN JAZZ, INC. (IWJ) is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to supporting women jazz artists and related professionals, and to fostering a greater awareness of the diverse contributions women make to jazz, worldwide. Through its programs, IWJ provides information and assistance to its members, thus standing dedicated to actively ensuring a place for women as a vital part of the past, present, and future of jazz. Our membership comprises of musicians, youth student of jazz, composers, educators, recording industry artists and broadcast professionals, business owners, music management professionals, jazz enthusiasts, and other like organizations. International Women in Jazz presents an annual Women in Jazz Festival recognizing and paying tribute to the achievements and significance of women jazz musicians sharing their talents with the Jazz community while promoting jazz awareness to people of all ages.
In association with Club Bonafide, IWJ is promoting this series on Sundays which will feature groups, jams, open mics and, a gathering of some of the finest woman professionals in the music industry socializing and perfoming with future up and coming talents.
