Veteran tuba player, composer and conductor Jim Self and legendary guitarist
John Chiodini have joined their creative talent on their recent duo project,
“Floating in Winter”, released in late 2017. They will be performing a very
special concert for one night only in New York City at Club Bonafide. The
evening will feature many of the tracks from the album plus more. They will be
joined by a very special group of tuba players, The New York Tuba Six,
performing the music of Roger Neumann. Jim Self, tuba player on over 1500
movie scores, was the voice of the mothership in John Williams’ score the
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. He has 14 solo CDs. John Chiodini, LA studio
& jazz guitarist, played and recorded with Peggy Lee, Maynard Ferguson, Boston
Pops, and did the “Unforgettable” world tour with Natalie Cole.
