Latin Grammy award winning Afro Bop Alliance is a Afro Cuban jazz ensemble based in New York City, led by drummer Joe McCarthy.

Afro Bop has released six recordings to date, including “Afro Bop Alliance” in conjunction with Dave Samuels and the Caribbean Jazz Project, winner of the 2008 Latin Grammy for Latin Jazz Album of the Year and nominated in the same category for the 51st Grammy Awards. Afro Bop’s latest recording “Revelation” received a 4.5 star rating in Downbeat Magazine and worldwide acclaim. Afro Bop Alliance has performed and recorded with Paquito D’ Rivera, Poncho Sanchez, Dave Samuels and Arturo O’ Farrill.

Joe McCarthy is very excited to showcase the All Star quartet version of Afro Bop with three of New York City’s Latin Jazz greats featuring an amazing night of the music of Afro Bop Alliance and Victor Rendon.
