Nobilis Music Group Presents:
– Nadje Noordhuis & James Shipp
– Marshall Gilkes Trio
– Michele Zayla
Nobilis Music Group is a boutique booking agency and management team representing distinctive musical voices.
James Shipp and Nadje Noordhuis regularly perform their enthralling duo compositions in intimate venues and house concerts series around New York City. Nadje plays trumpet and flugelhorn and James plays vibraphone, percussion, and electronics. Their music is transportive and melodious, and creates moods ranging from celestial to raucous and humorous. They are currently in preparations for their debut album, which will be released in 2016.
2016 GRAMMY Nominee Trombonist/composer Marshall Gilkes combines the spontaneous invention of jazz and the elegant architecture of classical composition with virtuosic technique and passionate emotion. His decadent sound can be heard in the lush impressionism of the Maria Schneider Orchestra; the exotic chamber jazz of Colombian harpist Edmar Castañeda’s trio; and New York’s thriving Latin music scene.
Michele Zayla has a powerful voice. Power not only in her ability to fill a room with beautiful sound, but to turn heads with a subtle, delightful inflection and invoke a flush of goosebumps. From the soaring lead vocals of Pink Floyd’s “The Great Gig in the Sky” to Duke Ellington’s swinging “I’m Beginning to See the Light,” Zayla moves effortlessly through a hundred years of popular music while boldly stepping into performing her original songs. “The only reason I started singing was to sing the songs I was writing.” Zayla began writing songs at seven years old.
